Case for the Crucifixion Site of Jesus Being on the Mount of Olives
A strong biblical case can be made for the crucifixion site of Jesus being on the Mount of Olives. This paper presents the supporting evidence for this location, which differs from the possible traditional sites in Jerusalem.
This case study illustrates the importance of understanding the Hebrew roots of our Christian faith in order to correctly interpret Scripture. This includes an understanding of the sacrifice of the Red Heifer (located outside of the city walls and outside of the camp) and the Feast of Firstfruits’ ceremonies related to the Mount of Olives, in addition to other biblical and historical considerations.
